What is Rich Language?
Rich Language is a Web site that looks at the English language; it's a site for lovers of English in all its forms. We aim to educate and entertain readers with a look at facets of the English language on a weekly basis, and provide interesting links throughout the rest of the week!
Who writes for Rich Language?
Initially, posts will be by Peter Cooper, the Rich Language editor, but it is hoped that others will want to contribute. The aim is to have writers of varying fame (or infamy), and with varying experience of the English language, present their own take on an aspect of our rich language. Which topics will Rich Language cover?
Rich Language will try to cover as wide a range of topics about the English language as possible. Expect topics to include:
- History of words/alphabet/phrases
- Studies of specific words
- Writing styles
- Insights into authors
- Dialects
- Poetry
- Etymology
- English language trivia
Commenting and e-mailing
In keeping with the times, visitors are able to comment on daily posts. Good comments would include corrections, expansion of ideas in the main post, and questions. Comments such as non post-specific 'site wide' comments, site recommendations, and solicitations would be better sent as e-mail to feedback@richlanguage.com.
